Defining Return Reasons in ReturnZap
Define Custom Return Reasons in Shopify with ReturnZap
Each return initiated by a customer requires a top level reason. When you first install ReturnZap, a set of default return reasons will be populated. These can be edited or removed if desired.
You can configure an unlimited number of return reasons in ReturnZap.
Configuring Your Return Reasons
Return reasons can be edited in ReturnZap Settings > Reasons
ReturnZap will automatically configure 5 initial return reasons.
- Damaged or Defective
- Did Not Like
- Other
- Wrong Item
- Wrong Size
These can be edited, deleted (archived), or re-ordered on the Return Reasons setting page.
You may add additional return reasons using the +Add new return reason button.
Be sure to save the page after making changes!
Configuring image upload requirements
For each return reason, you have the option to specify whether image upload is disabled (default), optional, or required.
This is useful in conjunction with the ReturnZap approval workflow, where you can require customers to upload photo proof of certain return conditions before approving a return and generating a return label.
Configuring follow up questions
You can also configure follow up questions to collect additional information about a return beyond top level reason.
