Configuring the portal confirmation message

What is the confirmation message?

The ReturnZap portal confirmation message can be used to display a custom message in the returns portal once a return is successfully submitted by your customer.

The message is blank by default but can be configured in ReturnZap settings.

The confirmation message can be used to:

• Provide additional instructions about completing a return, for example shipping instructions
• Informing customers of deadlines to return items after submitting a return
• Providing additional information in your own brand voice

Configuring the confirmation message

The message can be edited directly in the settings page, using the text editor.

The text editor allows for text formatting as well as image upload. Note that more options, including HTML formatting, are available by expanding the editor using the ... button.

Considerations when using the confirmation message

Translations

The confirmation message can be translated into any language supported by the ReturnZap returns portal. This translation is not done automatically, you will need to provide translated text using the tab marked 'Translations'.

Dynamic Variables

The confirmation message supports dynamic variables, such as [[rma_number]]. These variables can be inserted into the message and will dynamically update with the proper information for each return.

Message is Static

The confirmation message is static, meaning it cannot currently be changed to display different content at different times.

Message Not Always Displayed

The confirmation message is not displayed in the returns portal in all cases. It will be overidden and hidden in the case of:

• Green returns - If return shipping is not required, a static message will be displayed instead
• Return requiring approval - If a return requires manual review and approval, a static message will be displayed instead
